WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
Microneedling uses fine automated needles (Dr. Dermic Golden) to stimulate growth factors, vitamins and proteins to the area. These vitamins, growth factors and proteins are what brighten the skin, improves the tone and texture of the skin. The build up of these then stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin.

WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS TO MICRONEEDLNG?
- Allergy to Lidocaine (numbing agent)
- Prone to keloid or raised scarring
- History of actinic (solar) keratosis
- Current outbreak Herpes Simplex (cold sores) infections
- Diabetes
- Scleroderma – a chronic systemic autoimmune disease characterised by hardening of the skin
- Collagen vascular diseases
- Cardiac abnormalities – Heart block, second or third degree (without pacemaker) & Severe sinoatrial block (without pacemaker)
- Active bacterial or fungal infection
- Immuno-suppression
- Surgery scars less than 6 months old
- Facial fillers in the past 8 weeks
- Botox in the past 2 weeks
- Pregnancy or Breast Feeding
- Currently on treatment for Cancer
- HIV/ Aids Positive
- Radiotherapy in the last 12 months
- Accutane therapy (roaccutane) in the last 6 months
- Eczema, Psoriasis and other chronic conditions (precaution)
- Active Acne (pustules should be avoided)
- Chemical Peels – face must be fully healed before microneedling
- Avoid Needling over Moles or suspocious skin lesions
